Priyanka’s Lucknow Road show a mega success

Hundreds of thousands of Congress workers, local leaders and the onlookers curious to see the newly appointed general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Lucknow waving towards them from Amausi Airport to the Congress Party office covering 25 kilometres distance is likely to change the political situation in Uttar Pradesh as Priyanka’s positive impact could easily be witnessed and felt by the tumultuous and over enthusiastic response acknowleged today.

Priyanka Gandhi alongwith her brother , Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Congress UP chief Raj Babber, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Rajiv Shukla, Pramod Tiwari, Harish Rawat etc started the road show at one o clock in the afternoon.

Congress supporters n activists symbolise Priyanka as the real political heir of Indira Gandhi and say that not only do they see in her the new avatar of former PM Indira Gandhi but a formidable political force to evict BJP out of power as well.

“Priyanka nahi ye aandhi hai kal ki Indira Gandhi hai” like slogans rented the air with hundreds of workers carrying Congress flags and shouting pro Priyanka Gandhi slogans.

The long road show would cover 28 locations before finally culminating at the party office.

Priyanka Gandhi also addressed crowds at certain locations and would be garlending the statue of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi n Dr. B. R. Ambedkar before finally converging her road show at the party headquarter.

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was holding the model of Rafale n raising it on the top to let people know about the alleged corruption committed on Rafale by the current political dispensation.

The response to Priyanka Gandhi’s road show has been highly encouraging with her supporters throwing petals from rop tops n raising slogans hailing her.

Priyanka’s husband Robert Vadra has praised his wife’s Road show in his facebook post n said, the time has arrived to strongly respond to the politics of vindictiveness let loose by the BJP.

This is Priyanka Gandhi’s first road show after her recent appointment as the AICC general Secretary , incharge of UP East which has acknowleged tremendous response.

The Congress party headquarter in Lucknow is being sanitised by the security personels where Priyanka Gandhi is likely to address the congregation.

There are hundreds of party supporters who’ve collected at the party office since morning, quite eager to listen her.

The leaders of the BSP SP n BJP are tightlipped over the successful ongoing road show of Priyanka Gandhi. There are news that the BSP SP may give a rethink to their earlier proposal to sideline Congress party and accord 14 seats to the party in the coalition but reports suggest that Congress would not agree on less than thirty.

It may be recalled that Priyanka Gandhi had a day before released a tape recorded statement appealing the Congress party workers to join her road show in large numbers.

She said : I Priyanka Vadra, is coming to meet all of you in Lucknow. Am highly optimistic that all of you will come together and give rise to a new politics. Such a politics in which all of you will be the equal participants. Such politics will symbolise the voice of my brothers, the women and the poorest of the poor. Come n Let’s give rise to a new politics.

The roadshow is moving ahead with more and more people n Congress supporters joining in with the entire electronics media telecasting it’s live show.

Latest media reports suggest that Priyanka and Jyotiraditya Scindia, the newly appointed general secretaries incharge of Eastern n Western office would be in Lucknow till 14th where they will hold parleys with leaders n workers and also screen candidates to finalise the list of atleast 40 candidates.
