The politics of loan waivers is one of the main election plank of the Congress party in view of the fast approaching general elections of 2019.

That’s the reason that the pre election promise of the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has been met with immediately in all the three states triumphed by the incumbent chief ministers winning the heart of lakhs of farmers, especially the poor peasents despite the fact that states like already debt ridden Madhya Pradesh will have to confront the additional fiscal deficit of 50000 crores as being said.

But the way Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has exhibited the seriousness in fulfilling his pre election promise it has definitely generated temendous amount of faith in the Congress chief n the party at the national level, especially amongst the farmers of the country called the ANN DAATAAS.

Even in the southern state Karnataka where the Congress is running the government in league with the minority JD (U) with former prime minister HD Devegowda’s son Kumarswamy on the political n administrative saddle, Congress president Rahul Gandhi had applied pressure on the JD(U) government to do the needful n the chief minister who was unwilling to do it in view of the excessive financial burden on the state’s economy had to do it under compelling circumstances.

Not only these four states but in 2008 too when Rahul Gandhi was the general secretary of the party it was under his initiative that the then prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh waived off loans of farmers to the tune of Rs. 60000 crores resulting in the Congress led NDA government’s re emergence to power at the centre.

In the political history of the country it is perhaps for the first time that any party or its chief who’d promised during the states’ election campaigning has fulfilled such a massive demand of the farmers to waive of their loans of thousands of crores within just ten days of the party coming to power.

This expedience on the part of the chief ministers of the Congress ruled states viz Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh n earlier in Karnataka where the JD(U) is ruling with the Congress party’s support in terms of waiving off the farmers loan has infact puzzled and disturbed the ruling BJP led NDA at the centre and in other states ruled by it.

The reflex action was noticed in the prime minister Narendra Modi’s address in Himachal Pradesh yesterday where the prime minister openly criticized Rahul Gandhi for misleading the farmers in the name of loan waivers unambiguously saying that the farmers loans can’t be waived off and that Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is betraying them by backstabbing the farmers of the country in view of the fast approaching general elections.

Prime Minister Modi catagorically said : he is befooling the youths n farmers to win elections. Regarding the earlier loan waivers to the tune of Rs 60000 crores in 2008 during the Manmohan Singh government, prime minister Modi said : out of Rs. 6 lakh crore loans only Rs 52000 loan waiver was done n the farmers of the country befooled.

Similarly in Karnataka only 800 farmers were given loan waiver relief but the propaganda is tremendous said PM Modi.

Actually the crux of the story is after losing Rajasthan, Karnataka, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh n several other by elections in the near past in UP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan n Bihar the BJP is expeditiously losing grip on his strongholds nationally which clearly exhibits the fastly eroding charisma of prime minister Narendra Modi n its national chief Amit Shah.

The saffron party’s Ram Temple construction propaganda to polarise the majority community vote bank all over the country is also fizzling out gradually. The BJP led government has diminished its image on demonetisation, GST, agrarian crisis, inflation, unemployment and failing to construct Ram Mandir for the last 26 years despite winning various elections n always backing out to do so after assuming political power.

People are losing faith in the saffron party say sources. It’s badly apprehensive that if the grand national alliance of the non BJP unity fructifies at the national and regional levels the votes’ division that’s helping tbe saffron party till now would not happen and the various caste, community n ideological combinations at the states n central level will disturb its entire mathematics to win, including the enhancing anti incumbency factors/ trend in various BJP ruled states and the centre.

On the top of that the farm loan waivers in various states have distanced the farmers and other sections of the society at the lowest ebb from the saffron party leading to the increasing anxiety of the ruling party at the centre n its high command.

Meanwhile as per the latest development efforts are allegedly on by the saffron party leaders at the centre to destabilize the Congress JD(U) government in Karnataka. About 12 MLAs of the ruling party of the state are said to be in touch with the BJP. What’s your take friends?
