Rajesh Khanna aka Kaka was remembered today on his 77th birth anniversary
The first and original superstar of Bollywood carrying behind him the fan following of billions globally, Rajesh Khanna aka Kaka was remembered today on his 77th birth anniversary at Chanakyapuri, The Treat in South Delhi”s posh Diplomatic enclave behind Jesus and Mary College with his die-hard fans singing in his honor his super-duper hit songs and dancing to the melodious tunes.
The celebration was organized by none other than Kaka’ s closest colleague whom he usually rated like his son Vipin Oberoi with active participation of Kaka’ s erstwhile associates and admirers viz Sunil Negi, former media advisor, colleague Rajesh Pandey, etc and the family members and near and dear ones of Vipin’s family and Kaka’ s die-hard fans.
Vipin Oberoi has been associated with superstar and actor par excellence and unparalleled superstar of the millennium Rajesh Khanna for over three decades and so was I for two decades or so in Kaka’ s thick and thin.
The Treat Van situated at Diplomatic enclave near Matreiyee college was inaugurated by Rajesh Khanna aka Kaka in the year 2000 and was his second home as Kaka used to come here very often in the evenings and dine as well, while he was in Delhi.
This place was very dear to him. He loved the delicacies of The Treat Van, supplied to him even to his Mumbai Ashirvaad house on certain occasions.
A special birthday cake with Rajesh Khanna’s pictures engraved on it was cut on Kaka’s 77th birth anniversary today with singers singing the super-duper hit numbers of Khanna’s films.
A special lunch was organized for hundreds of persons of nearby localities.
Vipin Oberoi celebrates Kaka’s birth anniversary every year on 29th December and also pays his richest tributes on the super star’s death anniversary too by organizing havan and Bhandara for hundreds of poor people of the nearby localities including performances of songs of Kaka’s super-duper hit films.
Vipin’s entire family, close friends, Rajesh Khanna’s erstwhile associates, media and fans gather and pay rich tributes to this great legend, actor unparalleled and first and original superstar of the millennium. Long live Kaka!
