Real-life women Kabaddi players roped in for Suseenthiran’s ‘Kennedy Club’ climax
Sasikumar and veteran filmmaker Bharathirajastarrer Kennedy Club is set against the backdrop of women Kabbadi players. The shooting of the project directed by Suseenthiran is on the brink of completion as the team is currently shooting the climax portion. Kennedy Club is already billed as the costliest film of actor-director Sasikumar at a budget of Rs 15 crore.
Now, Suseenthiran has mounted a grand set worth Rs 2 crore for the climax sequence in the film. Talking about this, producer Thai Saravanan of Nallusamy Pictures said, “At the moment, the shooting is happening at Kabbadi stadium in Vizhupuram, which involves 16 Kabbadi teams and 300 players all over India taking part in it. This includes players from Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Pune, Kerala, Andhra, and Mangalore. Although the shoot is set in Vizhupuram, it is being pictured as in backdrops of North India.”
“To ensure that the climax portion gets a realistic touch, we are actually conducting an original match and are filming it. Also, many spectators have been invited to view the match. The shooting of this climax portion is being held for ten days. Following this schedule, songs alone are left to wrap up the entire shooting,” the producer added.
Also starring national award-winning actorSamuthirakani, Gayathrie of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and comedian Soori in important roles, Kennedy Club will have music composed by D. Imman.
