Veteran bollywood actor, now 66 years’ old and shot into prominence for his role as a hero in film Bobby with beautiful Dimple Kapadia as his heroine during the seventies, Rishi Kapoor is abroad for the treatment of cancer for the past several days.
There are news of his returning back to India hale and hearty and would be resuming work for a film signed before heading abroad with actress Juhi Chawla.
After the sad demise of super stars of India film Industry viz Rajesh Khanna and Vinod Khanna for having diagnosed of cancer of the liver, 66 year old Rishi Kapoor is lucky for recovering fast despite diagnosed of dreaded cancer.
The sources reveal that he’ll be soon back to India to resume work on his new film with actress Juhi Chawla.
His fans in India and abroad are praying for his recovery. A popular star of the Indian silver screen Rishi Kapoor in currently an actor, director and film maker who is credited for winning several awards, the first ” National Film Award ” being for his debut role as a child artist in his father’s movie Mera Naam Joker, produced and directed by eminent film actor, director and producer Raj Kapoor.
His second prestigious film fare award was for his outstanding debut role as a hero in film Bobby in 1973.
Born in 1952 in Mumbai, Rishi Kapoor has a chequered film career as a hero, director and producer during the last 45 years. Rishi Kapoor’s eleven movies out of 51 as hero were highly successful and superduper hits on box office and twenty five of the 41 multi hero films successful too.
From 1973 to 2000 his 51 movies as solo hero were highly succesful but 41 were flops.
After the year 2000 he shifted to supporting roles having crossed 48 years of age and continued thereafter in the roles of an elder character.
Khel Khel Mein, Kabhi Nahin, Badalte Rishte, Amar Abar Anthony, Hum Kisi se Kum Nahin, Ajooba, Chandni, Deevane, Naseeb, Kateelon Ke Kaatil, Zamana, Ghar Parivaar, Sitamgar, Daraar, Gurudev, Kaarobaar, Damini etc were all hits which gave him name and fame in Indian film industry apart from several other films in which he acted with other stars .
He got the film fare critics award for his outstanding role in Do Duni Char in 2011 and life time achievement award in 2018.
In 1999 he directed and produced AA Ab Laut Chalein with super star Rajesh Khanna in father’s role n Akshay Khanna and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles.
He also acted in Heena directed by Randhir and Raj Kapoor and in Prem Granth as well.
Husband of his one time heroine in several bollywood hits Neetu Singh and father of popular actor Randhir Singh, still active on silver screen in various significant roles, Rishi Kapoor has to rush to US for his cancer treatment after he was diagnosed with the dreaded desease in India.
He is recovering fast and all set to join his new film with Juhi Chawla after his return to India.

I am not too fond of him and my favourites Irfan Khan ( himself a cancer peedit patient ) and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will continue to be in my top list as far as acting skills are concerned…..
