Whenever we look to buy cars, we look for many things like a good engine, mileage, stereos, and such. But have we ever stopped and checked its capability to be safe? Sadly, safety is something many of us don’t look for when we are buying new cars, even though it should be on top of the list.

Car safety is taken very seriously worldwide. For cars to be regarded safe, they need to pass certain tests and be rated accordingly. Hence, enter NCAP! What is it, you might wonder? The New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP or GNCAP) was founded for judging the safety of manufactured cars. They conduct a series of crash simulations and rate the cars according to a whole set of rules and guidelines. Very serious job, indeed!

While many Indian cars continue to record dismal performances in the GNCAP safety tests, all hope is not lost. Today we bring to you the top-rated safety cars in India that made us proud!
