Saurav Ganguly feels that Kohli will take Indian cricket team to next level
Saurav Ganguly lauds Virat Kohli for his performances and feels that he is best captain who can take the Indian Cricket team to next level and be number one in Test in true sense but that is possible only after winning in every part of the world.
Currently Indian cricket team is sitting at the number one position in Tests after winning the India-New Zealand test series. Virat Kohli has proved himself as most successful captain overseas but the Indian team will have to face the real challenge in England, South Africa and Australia.
Saurav Ganguly gave his interview to one of the leading newspaper in which he shared his thoughts about Virat Kohli and Indian cricket team. He is sure that Indian cricket team will win 50% of the remaining tests at home and real tough time will start after when the team will be playing in South Africa, England and Australia.
He also believes that Virat Kohli under his captaincy will Indian team will move forward only as he is a honest captain who has his own opinion. He may make some mistakes but that is part and parcel of the sport. He wish him all the best knowing that it will be bit difficult for Indian cricket team in England and Australia in the home Tests.
Australia is a tough team to win as it can be seen in their past records in 90s and 2000s, but the Indian team has the potential to go far. We all know that Australians dominated everywhere and pose a good challenge for all teams. Saurav said that they have a good leader and spinners are bowling well which is a great strength for them. But we have Mohammad Shammi, Bhuvnashwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav who have bowled well with good pace and troubled the batsmen, So we also have good team.
He further said that the performance of New Zealand team is one of the worst in India for some time and they could have performed better.
