Shamshera’: Ranbir Kapoor to play a double role for the first time?
Ranbir Kapoor has a couple of films in his kitty. After impressing everyone with his role asSanjay Dutt in Sanju, RK will next be seen inBrahmastra. Soon after that, the talented actor will star in Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera, in which the actor will reportedly play the role of a dacoit. The film is set in the pre-Independence era and stars Vaani Kapoor as the female lead.Sanjay Dutt is playing the main antagonist in the film.
As per the latest reports in Mid Day, Ranbir is likely to have a double role in Shamshera. Talking about it, a source stated to the tabloid, “The film revolves around a dacoit tribe that is fighting for its rights and independence from the British Raj. Apart from playing the protagonist, Ranbir might also be seen as the central character’s father. He has been shooting for both roles simultaneously. This is the first time in his 12-year-long career so far that Ranbir will play a double role.”
In the film, Vaani plays the role of a desirable and sought-after travelling performer. For the film, Vaani started getting trained in classical dance forms. A source said, “Vaani needs to be proficient in several classical dancing styles to be able to pull off the choreography. She has been learning Kathak for the past few months to hone her dancing skills further. In fact, she has been practising for hours every day to perfect her moves and body postures.”
