Subhash Rana selected as Intl pistol jury in Goldstock Common wealth Games, Australia

There’s another feather in the cap of the Rana family of Garhwal Uttarakhand, after the 19 year old junior ace shooter and daughter of the former Asian Champion and four time Gold medalist in Asian Ace shooting Jaspal Rana’s daughter Devanshi Rana and her entire team fetched the Gold medals in global Junior Ace Shooting competition in Sydney Australia yesterday defeating China thus bringing outstanding laurels for India and Uttarakhand. There is another good news that Jaspal’s younger brother and shooting champion Subhash Rana has been given the privilege to be one of the jury in Pistol shooting global competition of ISSF World Cup being held in Sydney, Australia.

He is the only Indian to have been appointed as the Jury in the international Shooting competition. It may be recalled that Subhash Rana has been designated as International jury for the third time in a row.

Earlier Rana was the jury in 2010 in Delhi and at Glaslow Commonwealth games in 2014 whereas this time he got the privileged opportunity by the Common wealth games committee to be the pistol jury in the Goldstock international shooting games.

As per the information available the common wealth games 2018 are starting from 4th to 15th April in the Gold Coast city in Australia’s Queens land township.

The people of Uttarakhand and the entire sports fraternity in particular have expressed their pleasure and happiness in the elevation of Subhash Rana as the international pistol jury in these games for the third time in succession.

It may be recalled the an Arjun awardee in the offing Subhash Rana is the younger son of the former Uttarakhand Minister and president of Uttaranchal State Rifle Association Narayan Singh Rana who primarily hails from Chilaasu village of Jaunsar in Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
