TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATED AND PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT PROFESSIONS FELICITATED IN JNU

The prominent social organisation of the country Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samittee organised the Sanskrit Convention, released the Sanskrit and Hindi edition of Him Uttarayani dedicated to the late leader and ex PM, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and honoured several intellectuals of different fields viz professors, journalists, social activists, theatre artists and principals contributing in building the society as a whole in education and its various forms like promoting hindi english journalism, spreding the impact of the basic language Sanskrit and following the ideals of late prime minister, rather stateman Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The programme was convened to commemorate the Teachers Day organised on the birthday of the former president of India Dr. Sarvapalki Radhakrishnan. The chief guest on this ocassion was the former chief minister of Uttarakhand and present MP from Nainital Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. The Vice Chancellor of Sanskrt Vidyapeeth Professor Ramesh Kumar Pandey delievered his inaugural address on this ocassion while the former Secretary of Sanskrit Academy Delhi professor Jeet Ram Bhatt also addressed the audience in pure Sanskrit thanking them for their active participation and preservation of Sanskrit language.

The Sanskrit convention was presided over by the senior professor of the Sanskrit department of JNU professor P. Upendra Rao. The intellectuals who were felicitated wih the Sanskrit Gaurav Sammaan, Atal Samman and Him Uttarayini Gaurav Samman were professor Girish Chandra Pant, HOD Sanskrit Department Jamia Islamiya University, Professor Mahendra Mishra, professor and eminent poet Kailash Nath Tiwari, Dr. Vagish Dinkar, Senior journalist and President of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum Sunil Negi, Swami Nath Mishra, Sripath Swamy, Poet Dev Narayan Verma, professor of Delhi University professor V. S. Negi, advocate Sanjay Sharma, Khemda, theatre actor, Vinod Nautiyal, Vinod Rawat, professor Anirudh Kumar Sidhanshu, professor Maruk Ur Rehmaan and other.

The chief organisor of the progranmme News Editor Punjab Kesari Dr. Surya Prakash Semwal anchored the programme and desrved to be complimented fully while the thanks given was done by senior journalist Sunil Negi.

Sunil Negi hails from Uttarakhand and is a veteran journalist and author. He is a prolific writer and has carved a name for himself in the media world. He received the 'Golden Achiever Award' in the '90th AIAC Excellence Awards 2019' for his book ''Havoc in Heaven'' based on the tragedy that struck Uttarakhand in which thousands of people lost their lives. He is also the President of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum and majorly writes on Politics, Current Affairs, and Social Issues.
