Thirteen proposals cleared at the Pauri Garhwal cabinet meeting to commemorate the Pauri Commissionary’s Golden jubilee

The high profile cabinet committee meeting convened by the chief minister Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat at Pauri township to commemorate the golden jubilee of Pauri Commissionery discussed thirteen main points pertaining to the development of the Pauri Garhwal district and issues related to tourism promotion and other vital monetory sanctions for the development of the state.
After the hectic deliberations in the cabinet committee attended by all the ministers except one, the state’s education minister Arvind Pandey at least thirteen proposals were unanimously passed.
The main issues that acknowleged the consent of the chief minister and all the ministers present in the meeting are clearence of employment and skill development programme, revolving fund of Mandi Parishad, formation of a committee under the chairmanship of the chief secretary to decide the pay fixation of the Tourism Adventure officer, granting of Nagar Panchayat status to Chaukhutia in Kumaon division, construction of Mussourie ropeway till Purkul, Dehradun under the PPP mode, sanction of nearly 7 crore rupees for the contruction of long awaited Lwalli lake near Pauri, Purchase of farmers produce at the minimum support price, clearence to Uttarakhand handicap rules n regulation, reorganisation of a lead agency for the road safety under ministry of road transport, Free allocation/ sanction of 3.66 hectare land for the construction of NCC academy at Dewar in Pauri Garhwal district and non confiscation of 4.031 hectare land adjoining the Secretariat for the expansion of Dehradun secretariat in the near future.
Apart from the clearence of aforesaid proposals three important issues were also discussed at length and threadbare viz Rural development and migration, drinking water and hygine and skill development.
According to sources the chief minister will address a detailed press conference on Sunday at 11.00 PM accquainting the media about various significant decisions taken in the meeting and the government’s future plans.
The cabinet committe meeting started at dot 11 AM today at Pauri attended by all ministers, except the education minister Arvind Pandey whose 25 year son died in a road accident three days ago.
Before the commencement of the meeting, the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat planted a sapling an named it in the name of a girl child to promote the flagship programme of prime minister namely Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao.
This is the second meeting of the cabinet committee of Uttarakhand held at Pauri Garhwal. The first cabinet meeting was held at Tehri Lake last year. Prior to the commencement of cabinet committee meeting a grand cultural and colourful programme was organised at the venue under the title Sumeru Garhwal, followed by various moterbike sport and marathan race.

I hope some more committees are established in other districts as well with hardworking & corrupt free officers to address & solve the local ptoblems.
Its not easy to develop a hilly state because there are so many NGOs and NGT interfering in everything and on one hand people want development and there are these environmental people opposing every move…..
Good step but the process has to be continuous, & on a serious note and well structured, otherwise it makes no sense
