Thousands in tears bid adieu to brave heart Major Chitresh Bisht at Haridwar
Thousands of people hailing the thirty one year old martyr Major Chitresh Bisht aka Tiger of Indian Army today gave the valiant soldier the last farewell in Dehradun and Haidwar where his body was consigned to flames at the pilgrimage city Haridwar amid 21 gun salutes.
Thousands of youths, exservicemen, youths, students and women including the Armymen dressed in uniform raised JAB TAK SURAJCHAAND RAHEGA, CHTRESH TUMHARA NAAM RAHEGA and Pakistan Murdabad murdabad slogans and demanded strong retaliatory action against Pakistan holding it responsible for Pulwama attack.
Thirty one year old Chitresh Bisht was likely to be married on 7th March and his family had made the necessary preparations for the same. The invitation cards were being deivered but destiny had something else stored for him. He had to leave for his eternal home not to be back ever.
The entire Uttarakhand and the country is in tears to loose patriotic soldiers like Chitresh Bisht and many others who’d lost their precious lives in Pulvama on 14th February n thereafter and earlier as well.
Just today Major Vibhuti Kumar Dhaundiyal and four other valiant soldiers have lost their precious lives in Pingling Pulwama while relenlessly fighting the hard core terrorists n killing three of them. A DIG n two other Armymen have been injured in the exchange of fire.
Three hard core Jaish terrorists have been killed in a twenty hour long operation. Major Chitresh Bisht popularly known as Tiger was martyred while diffusing an implanted fouth IED.
Chitresh’s father was a police officer and his yiunger brother a civil engineer abroad. The family is in immense trauma having lost a brilliant son with valour in the line of duty.
The entire nation salutes this brave heart behind whom n his traumatic family stand 125 crore Indians solidly. The body of martyr Chitresh Bisht n his uniform were presented to the family today and later on consigned to flames with full state honours.
The Armymen who accompanied Chitresh’s body draped in Tricolour in the Army Truck also raised Chitresh Bisht Zindabad n Amar Rahe slogans. Hundreds of thousands of people turned out to bid last farewell to this valiant soldier.
There were tears in the eyes the people who accompanied his body to Haridwar. The state chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, several state ministers n leaders of the Congress party also laid wrath on his body n paid their last respects.
Two other soldiers of CRPF Veerendra Singh Rana and Mohan Lal Raturi from Uttarakhand were Martyred in the Pulwama attack on 14th alongwith 41 others belonging to UP, MP, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bengal, Tamilnadu, Punjab, Jharkhand n Karnataka etc.
It may be recalled that Major Chitresh Singh Bisht from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, who lost his life two days ago was defusing an IED which had been planted by terrorists across the LoC in Naushera sector, Rajouri. During sanitisation of track in Naushera Sector, mines were detected on the track.
