Players in the IPL 2016 matches who performed well even when they were inexpensive for the franchises during the IPL auction in 2016. It does not matter that they were priced low as compared to other players, their performances were not low. Sometimes they performed much better and became the reason to win their teams matches.
Players who were inexpensive in the IPL 2016 auction but performed extraordinary in the matches
Marcus Stoinis – Rs 55 lakh
Marcus Stoninis is a 26 year old Australian cricketer was bought by the Kings XI Punjab for Rs 55 lakh from the IPL 2016. He played 7 matches for the team in IPL 2016 but left India in between due to some personal reasons. He scored 146 runs with the average of 36.5 and was able to take 6 wickets. He was made man of the match twice. He performed well in the IPL 2016 matches and gave his best performance against Delhi Daredevils at Mohali and also awarded player of the match. He also received player of the match against Mumbai Indian which was held at Visakhapatnam for his bowling because he took 4 wickets. And that match was easily won by his team.
Ashok Dinda – Rs 50 lakh
Indian National team pacer Ashok Dhinda was bought for Rs 50 lakh during the IPL 2016 auction and he proved himself again in the IPL 2016 matches by taking 11 wickets. Though he is known for his inconsistency this time he worked on his shortcomings and tries to overcome them. He is 32 years old who was made man of the match twice against Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam.
Ben Cutting – Rs 50 lakh
He was bought for Rs 50 lakh by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL Auction 2016. He is a good Australian player who performed well in the IPL 2016 matches as he only played few matched for the team but made important mark in winning the IPL 2016.
He played only 4 matches in IPL 2016 but scored 65 runs with 5 wickets and most importantly he scored 39 runs in 15 balls while playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore which helped his team to put a good score against the RCB team. In the final match he helped his team by taking important wickets out of which one was the most dangerous batsman in the match. He took wicket of Chris Gayle and relived his team from the pressure. He was also awarded man of the match for that performance which could term as outstanding in the finals.
