So we are back with our Top 10 and this time… you already read it! It’s about best BTS music videos! Now if you use internet even a little, you must already know about this 7 member South Korean group that has been dominating the global music scene for a couple of years now. Their latest album Map of the Soul: 7 especially, broke a number of records ranging from Number 1 in iTunes in 90+ countries to becoming one of the best-selling albums worldwide within a week of its release in February 2020.

But the thing about this particular group is their consistency in delivering amazing music throughout the 7 years they have been active. Therefore, to make out dear readers more aware of what makes them a global phenomenon we decided to curate this list of Top 10 BTS MVs that you can’t miss! Okay… enough introduction! Let’s get on with the list, shall we?

BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS

The legendary Song and MV that made the groups international popularity flare up! The title song of BTS’ 2016 album WINGS- Blood, Sweat and Tears is their undisputable number 1 music video even among their 25M+ fans. It has over 560 million views on YouTube till date and incorporates themes like good vs. evil and temptation. The music video also has a number of references from the Bible and the Greek myths, and all this with BTS’ explosive dance moves and vocals that make it hard to look away!

FAKE LOVE

The title track of BTS’ 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear, Fake Love has two official music videos, which have over 700 million views on YouTube in total. The music, vocals and choreography are of course top-tier but what makes this music video one of the most popular is its stunning visuals! We are not kidding when we say that it’s impossible not to admire the art in this one- don’t believe us? See for yourself!

BOY WITH LUV

The record holder for the most viewed video in the first 24 hours- Boy With Luv is the title track of BTS’ 2019 EP Album Map of the Soul: Persona. It has 2 versions as well (one dedicated especially to their fan ARMY) and has almost 800 million views in total. The song also featured Halsey and is one of the most popular ever by the group because of its light-hearted vibes and of course- the choreography!

While most of the group’s dance routines are bone breaking, Boy With Luv acts as a fresh breath of air with a fun choreography and light moves. The music video also pays homage to one of the most loved Hollywood Classics Singin’ In The Rain (1962).

DNA

Over 950 million views till date on YouTube, the main MV for BTS’ 2017 album Love Yourself: Her, DNA literally took the world by storm and made the group even more well-known than before. Especially when they performed it on the AMA stage, becoming the first Korean act to do so. This MV is a literal treat for the eyes- the background, colors, style- everything is top-tier and the beats make you want to move without fail.

ON

Main track of Map of the Soul: 7, BTS’ most successful album yet, ON actually has two versions- a choreography focused Kinetic Manifesto Film and a story-based official MV, both of which are amazing in their own right. While the first MV demonstrates BTS’ explosive power in terms of dance, the perfect synchronization and music, the second MV is honestly a work of art which gives a movie-like experience.

SPRING DAY

To be honest, if this was my personal Top 10, this MV would have been number 1! Spring Day is my personal favorite music video of all time and I seriously have no words for it. It’s beautiful, that’s it. The lyrics, the music, the vocals, the rap, the setting, the themes and everything else this MV has to offer can be summed up with the word- beautiful. It has over 300 million views on YouTube and delivers a message of never losing hope. Like most of the BTS MVs, Spring Day, too, has a number of literary and cultural references worth looking into.

IDOL

If the word ‘Fun’ had a physical appearance, it would be this music video for the title track of BTS’ 2018 album Love Yourself: Answer. Idol has two versions as well, one featuring Nicki Minaj and has 730M+ views on YouTube overall. The video shows some never seen before visuals and is a literal treat. But dig a little deeper and you would find that as much fun as this MV is, it delivers some really important yet ignored messages. As to what they are- where’s the fun if we tell you everything?

FIRE

The main MV for 2016 album Epilogue: Young Forever, which marked the end of BTS’ Youth Trilogy, is iconic is a lot of ways. Not only the song is a total bop, the video has a lot of elements which will make you smile, laugh out loud and remember the feeling of youth all at once. And how can we forget the dance? The iconic 3:33 move… the whole routine is lit to be honest. Fire MV has almost 650 million views on YouTube.

MIC DROP

2017 was a legendary year for BTS fans where they got a number of treats, the last one being the simply amazing music video for Mic Drop, a side track of Love Yourself: Her. This version of Mic Drop featured Steve Aoki and has over 640 million views on YouTube. The song is really good in itself, but the choreography and the visuals are seriously one of the best.

DOPE

And for our last music video in BTS Top 10, we have Dope from BTS’ 2015 album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1. The MV has over 590 million views on YouTube overall and was the first BTS music video to reach a million likes and 100 million views.
