Tragic demise of a 24 year old budding musician Aman Negi. Was legendary singer Rahiji’s grandson.
I am deeply shocked to learn about the tragic sad demise of 24 year old young Aman Negi, grandson of the Uttarakhand’s singing legend late Chandra Singh Rahiji.
There can be no big n harsh tragedy than this. It’s literary a “Havoc,”/ disaster to the entire family of late Chandra Singh Rahiji.
Highly talented Aman was a young musician n a tabla player for whom a bright career was in the pipe line.
His father Satyendra Singh Negi, too is a renowned musician and promoter/ preserver of Uttarakhand’s folk songs, music n cultural heritage having presented hundreds of musical programmes n evenings in Delhi, Uttarakhand, in various states of the country, including abroad.
Late Aman’s uncles Veerendra Negi n Rakesh Bharadwaj too are highly talented and popular musicians n singers.
Uttarakhand is indeed indebted to legendary singer, musician n lyricist late Chandra Singh Rahiji.
In the tragic death of young Aman Negi, Uttarakhand n the music fraternity of Delhi has lost a budding musician and the family a most affectionate son who’d left for his eternal journey at such a young age without seeing anything.
I can understand the trauma n pain being faced by late Aman’s parents, especially his grief striken mother n other family members.
I on behalf of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum expresse my heartfelt condolences n tributes to the bereaved family n the departed soul n pray to Almighty to rest the pious soul in peace.
My heart goes with the deeply greaved family in this hour of grave crisis.
I have been given to understand that Aman Negi met his sad end on the way while heading for lucknow with three of his friends having met a severe accident.
He was creamated at Nigam Bodh Ghat this morning. I missed to be there to pay my tributes to the young departed soul as I am in Uttarakhand.
Om Shanti. May the Almighty be with the grief striken family, always.
