From dazzling cities to quite countryside, from magnificent royal palaces to bountiful natural reserves, South Korea has it all. So what are we waiting for? Here is a list of places you must pay a visit on a South-Korean holiday!

SEOUL

The capital city of South Korea deserves the foremost mention while talking about the top places to visit! The perfect place to shop, eat and party- the streets of Seoul have a lot to offer. The architecture, the culture, the museums, parks and gardens, everything in Seoul is a unique blend of modern pop culture and the more traditional one. City life at its best, Seoul is a place to behold!

BUSAN

What’s good in Busan? Apparently everything! This wonderful place has something from everyone, from natural beauty to modern architecture and a culture that seamlessly blends it all together. Busan is the second largest city of South Korea and home to numerous attractions ranging from lively mountains to serene temples. The food culture here is strong too and the local markets are a must-visit.

Housing a number of temples and museums, Jeonju is full of fascinating sites and boasts of great historical and cultural significance. With most of the architecture dating back to early 1900s, Jeonju is the perfect place for some sightseeing.

Jeju Island is one of the most popular places to visit among both tourists and locals. One of the most beautiful places in South Korea, Jeju Island lies 85 km off the coast and boasts of a rice landscape like no other. From the numerous parks to wonderful white sand beaches, from luscious pine forests to awe-inspiring waterfalls- Jeju Island is a natural paradise.

GYEONGJU

If you are interested in the cultural and historical aspects more, Gyeongju is the place for you. This coastal city is not only blessed with beautiful landscape but houses dozens of sites of historical significance. Also known as the open air museum, apart from the parks and ponds, Gyeongju has a number of museums and also is the home to Bulguksa temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The biggest attraction in this city is a fortress dating back to Joseon Dynasty- Hwaseong Fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architecture is awe-inspiring, as expected but there is a lot more to see and experience in Suwon, especially in terms of shopping and museums. There is also Gwanggyosan Mountain, if you want to go for a little hiking.

The largest national park in the country, Dadohaehaesang covers 1700 large and small islands full of scenic beauty. A respite in nature, it’s perfect for a peaceful vacation, just admiring the natural treasures.
