Kids worldwide have booked their first appointment for the summer vacation withJunglee, a family-action movie. The Vidyut Jammwal-starrer will see a hearty combination of high-octane action and the enduring friendship between man and the wild. Its story revolves around Vidyut’s character, a vet, who, on his homecoming to his father’s elephant reserve, encounters and fights an international poachers’ racket.

For the first time in almost four decades, the audience will get to see real animals showcase their playful side in the film. Shot with real elephants, Vidyut has a parallel lead in a magnificent tusker named Bhola. Apart from a tale of these two doting friends, the film also has never-seen-before action with an interesting mix of the ancient martial art of Kalaripayattu and animal movement.

Its trailer has received an overwhelming response, with many on social media calling this film a must-have theatre experience for their young ones. Some touted Vidyut as the jungle’s superhero while others called him India’s answer to Tarzan.

Trade pundit Taran Adarsh says, “Junglee seems like an adventure that should appeal to kids and families. It also gives an idea of the awesome relationship between humans and elephants.”

Sharing his excitement, trade analyst Komal Nahta says, “The trailer of Junglee is just too lovely. I had goosebumps while watching it and I’m sure the film has many claptrap moments. For audiences of two generations, it will be a novel movie because it’s after around four decades that a mainstream film about man-animal bonding is releasing.” Predicting a good run at the box office, trade analyst Amul Mohan adds, “Junglee’s trailer has all the ingredients to be a crowd favourite… animals, action and adventure. What’s there not to like in it!”

Produced by Vineet Jain and co-produced by Priti Shahani, Junglee releases worldwide on April 5.
