Would Anant Ambani’s inclusion in Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee help in improving religious tourism in Uttarakhand?

Voices of dissent n protests are being raised in various socio political circles of Uttarakhand though silently and also in the shape of a whispering campaign against the love and affection of the ruling party of Uttarakhand and its CEO for the richest of the rich and the Ambani family.

Though there had already been unsubstantiated charges n accusations by the Congress party and its chief Rahul Gandhi against the ruling party BJP about giving arbitrary favour to the Reliance chief Anil Ambani in the allotment of offset contract allegedly benefitting him to the tune of Rs 30000 crores in the controvertial Rafale contract making headlines these days, ( repeatedly opposed by the ruling party), the recent appointment/ nomination of mighty capitalist Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani as the member of the Badrinath Kedarnath Mandir Sammittee ( Temple Committe) under the Uttarakhand government’s jurisdiction has raised eyebrows in the socio political opposition camps especially in Congress.

In one of the court cases Anant’s CHAACHU and husband of one time actress Tina Munim, Anil Ambani has also been asked to pay the fine of Rs. 540 crores which is indeed shocking n uncalled for as well.

Though Anant Ambani’s nomination in the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committe by the Uttarakhand government alongwith with six other members is nothing unusual as its the government’s prerrogative n discreation to nominate individuals of their choice in any committee of the government but nominating somebody from outside the state and that too from the family of the richest of the rich has raised questions in the Uttarakhand’s opposition political circles. Though it’s also a hard fact that in dwnocracy such voices of dissent should and always exists even if certaun decisions are goid or bad.

People are questioning as to what was the need for the politicians at the helm to oblige Mukesh Ambani’s family member when there is no dearth of capable people with outstanding calibre in Uttarakhand.

But sources reveal that since the Ambani family has been the great believer in Lord Badrinath n Kedarnath and had been visiting Badrinath n Kedarnath since ages for worship and seeking their blessings, nomination of Anant Ambani in the Badrinath Kedarnath Mandir Sammittee should not be taken as something unusual or unprincipled.

Sometimes the family of Ambanies visit twice or thrice in a year at these gistoric shrines in special helicopters n are like a family to the Rawals n other staff there, donating handsomely.

May be this time after Anant Ambani’s nomination in the pivotal Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committeee, the Ambani family which has been the great devotee of Lord Kedar n Badrinath will contribute heavily to renovate or give a new more attracting face lift to these historic religious shrines for the benefit and convenience of millions of pilgrims visiting here from across the country n the globe.

However, the fact of the matter is that the Uttarakhand chief minister’s special love and affection for encouraging high profile industriailists, especial the Ambanies n Adanies have not lost as he was seen in a very jovial n happy mood n mode when the high profile industrialist Adani visited Uttarakhand a year ago for assuring the CM about immense investments in Uttarakhand to make it a developed industrialised state where not only will the himalayan state prosper industrially but also generate good employment opportunities.

The CM who received Adani at his official bungalow’s main entrance jubilantly presenting him a bouquet was later on seen closetted with Adani for a longtime hearing to his long lessons on industrialisation n investment inputs who during his interaction, repeatedly complained about the immense traffic snarls from Jollygrant Airport, Rishikesh to Dehradun saying that if such would be the traffic congestion while reaching Dehradun from the state airport in Rishikesh why would anybody invest in Uttarakhand?

However, till date there is no public news about the investment scene from the Adani family despite claims of signing of investment MOUs worth 70, 80 thousand crores by several other industrialists n corporate houses.

Thanks to the efforts of UK CM n the party for his love n affection for the Ambani n Adani families who are lauded n deeply respected in the land of abode of Gods called the Uttarakhand Himalayas.

But being on the positive side the gesture of the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat can be appreciated too, if young Anant Ambani contributes’ whole heartedly n wholesomely for the development of religious tourism in Uttarakhand which is considered to be one of the best religious destinations’ of the country n the world in the making.

The moot question is, will Amit Ambani’s inclusion in the important Badrinath Kedarnath Mandir Sammittee play a vital role in imoroving the religious tourism of Uttarakhand or will he really take due interest in the affairs of the newly constituted Temple Committee.
